Donor Information

Thank you for your generosity this holiday season, we are looking forward to serving as many families as possible because of donors like you.

Our goal is to anonymously match donors to more than 1,800 children, in over 900 low income families, living in Woonsocket. 

By adopting a family, donors agree to provide each child with:

• At least 3-4 new clothing items
• At least 2-3 new toys

A Wish List will be provided as a shopping guide. Once a match is made, the donor is supplied with a Wish List for each child (child's first name is provided). 

When determining the number of children to adopt, please keep in mind...

• You are not obligated to buy every item listed. Choose the items you feel are most important and fit into your budget. Please keep in mind you are providing Christmas for the children, not supplementing. 
• All children 0-24 months should have a budget of $150-$175 per child and any children above 2 should have a budget between $175-$225 per child. Each child should receive a mix of both clothing and toy items from their wish list. 
• All gifts must be new and wrapped. Please do not give used or even gently used items.
• As soon as we are able to match your request with a Family, we will send your family’s Wish List along with information about distribution week and specific drop off dates for you. 

If you aren't able to adopt a child this winter season but still want to make a contribution, consider making a monetary donation to Woonsocket Adopt-A-Family. Monetary donations are used by the board to shop for children who are not adopted and cover operating costs to keep our organization running.
